Actor and country-pop singer and writer Jana Kramer rose to fame through television, where she was part of the crew on One Tree Hill as Alex during its last three seasons. She signed a contract to Elektra Records during this time and dropped the country-rock single "I Won't Go Down" in one episode. The track was later added to Jana Kramer, her debut album, which was released in 2012. The track ranked fifth on Billboard Top Country Albums. Following a shift to her professional musical career, she was still acting, and she appeared in films such as Heart of the Country 2013 (which was a hit with her fans) or Country Crush 2016 (which would also appeal to music lovers). In October 2015, Kramer dropped her debut album thirty One with Warner Music Nashville. Thanks to The Top Five country hit I Got the Boy and an duet featuring Steven Tyler of Aerosmith it was even more successful, landing at number 3 on the national album chart as well as number ten on the Billboard 200. Beginning in September 2016 her two-month stint on the 23rd series of Dancing with the Stars ended with a 4th place finish. The same year, she had a huge adult modern song called Straight No Chaser's Feels like Christmas.
